QuickBooks integration: our honest status

If you run QuickBooks and are evaluating inventory software, the first question is who actually integrates today. Ours: Xero and MYOB established, US systems rolling out — QuickBooks is not current, and this page will not blur that.

The straight answer

  • BSimple's established accounting integrations are Xero and MYOB, with US accounting systems rolling out.
  • QuickBooks is not a current BSimple integration — no page here will imply a bridge we do not have.
  • What carries over for QuickBooks shops: the integration checklist is identical whatever the ledger — push on approval, status mirroring, reconciled purchasing.
  • If QuickBooks is a hard requirement today, the honest path is an inventory tool that supports it, or the BSimple-plus-export pattern with eyes open.

What the checklist looks like, whatever the ledger

Integration claims compress into four testable behaviours, and they hold for QuickBooks as for Xero. Invoices push on approval — line detail and tax treatment intact, not a nightly export. Payment status mirrors back — paid and voided return so operations sees the money truth. Purchasing reconciles — supplier bills matched against orders and receipts. Contacts stay curated — selective import, not a flood. Any inventory tool claiming QuickBooks integration should demonstrate all four with your data in a trial; the vendor guide turns that into a process, and the Xero version of the checklist shows the same shape applied line by line.

Where BSimple fits

We build BSimple, so weigh that — and the status is the message: the accounting handoff today is Xero and MYOB, with US accounting systems rolling out. If your ledger is QuickBooks and must stay there short-term, your options, honestly: an inventory tool with a current QuickBooks bridge; running QuickBooks and BSimple with a clean export/import pattern between them (workable, manual, and honest about being manual); or waiting for the rollout before committing. We would rather lose the trial today than win it with a bridge that does not exist.

What BSimple does run today, anywhere a browser works: the operations record — live multi-location stock, orders with a customer portal, purchasing from demand, batch traceability, counts from any phone — for small-to-medium wholesale, manufacturing, distribution and trade businesses, from $180/month (AUD). The inventory management overview shows the record, and the QuickBooks framing page covers the division of labour generally.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does BSimple integrate with QuickBooks?

Not today. The established accounting integrations are Xero and MYOB, with US accounting systems — which includes QuickBooks — rolling out. This page will keep saying so plainly until the bridge exists; check current status with us before planning around it.

Can we run BSimple alongside QuickBooks anyway?

With a manual bridge, yes: BSimple holds operations, exports approved invoices and purchase data in clean formats, and your bookkeeper enters or imports them into QuickBooks. It works, it is honest, and it costs the labour it looks like it costs — price that before deciding.

What should a QuickBooks shop test in any inventory tool?

The four behaviours: push on approval, mirrored statuses, reconciled purchasing, selective contacts — demonstrated with your data, not a demo store. Then the standing criteria: one record, exceptions, year-two cost, exit path. The vendor guide lists the tests.

Will the QuickBooks bridge be announced?

Rollout status is a question for us directly rather than a page promise — US accounting integrations are rolling out, and claiming a finished QuickBooks bridge before general availability is confirmed would be exactly the overclaim this site exists to avoid.
